Show Racism the Red Card Cymru

EDUCATION WORKER - WALES

Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism educational charity.

Our aim is to combat racism through enabling role models, who are predominantly but not exclusively footballers, to present an anti-racism message to young people and society.

The post is involved in delivering workshops to young people and adults throughout Wales, working within the team to help organise anti-racism events, reporting, monitoring and evaluating the work of the team.

Due to some of the Welsh rural locations visited, candidates must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car / driver.

The successful candidate will initially work from home with a view to securing local office space. The post involves delivering workshops across the whole of Wales with a focus on delivery across North Wales.

21 hours/week
Salary - NJC Scale 22 - 25 - £20,661 - £22,658 (pro rata)
6% pension

The post is for a fixed term period of up to 12 months

Applicants must have:
  • Experience in a similar role including delivering workshops to young people and adults
  • Excellent communications skills; written, telephone and inter personal
  • Commitment to tackling racism and other forms of inequality
  • Ability to meet specific deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to develop new educational ideas and activities
