DESCRIPTION:Suitable for: all teachers of Science\n\nThis course is designed to develop inspirational teachers who work collaboratively to raise standards, by providing delegates with effective strategies and ideas on how to develop pupils’ Scientific Literacy skills.\n\nThis workshop will develop strategies that can be used to enable pupils to;\n\nappreciate and understand the impact of Science and Technology on everyday life\nmake informed personal decisions about things that involve Science, such as health, diet, use of energy resources\nread and understand the essential points of media reports about matters that involve Science\nanalyze graphs and data tables\nreflect critically on the information included in, and (often more important) omitted from, such reports and\ntake part confidently in discussions with others about issues involving Science.\n\n
