“Cracking the Code”

On 19th June 2017 the Minister for Education, Kirsty Williams, launched “Cracking the Code” setting out their 4 year commitment on how Welsh Government will work with regional education consortia, universities, colleges and industry to develop coding opportunities in schools.

GwE is launching its “Cracking the Code” program in September 2017 by seeking expressions of interest from schools who are keen to be involved and develop their own code clubs and coding activities. The program will be supported through our existing Digital Leaders and a dedicated Cracking the Code coordinator and will have three distinct sign up phases, Autumn 2017, Spring 2018 and Summer 2018.

Due to an overwhelming response, applications for schools to take part in the ‘Cracking the Code’ programme have now closed. If you have been unsuccessful in signing up your school there will be further opportunities in the future.
