Professional Development for Teachers of Mathematics

To inform the National Network for Excellence in Mathematics’ (NNEM) forward work on professional development for teachers of mathematics, we are asking teachers to complete a short questionnaire.

Professional development opportunities take many shapes and forms. There are all sorts of opportunities available for teachers of mathematics, but which opportunities do teachers know about? Which opportunities do they take up? The NNEM in Wales wants to hear from teachers about their views.

The NNEM aims to understand the professional development landscape for teachers of mathematics in Wales. Teachers’ views, needs and perceptions are an important aspect of the landscape. In order to gather views, we are asking all teachers of mathematics, in all phases of school and college education, to complete a short questionnaire

The data gathered though the questionnaire will inform the NNEM’s decisions about the sorts of professional development offerings they develop.

The deadline for completing the questionnaire is 31 July 2018.
